A Selection of Local Ghoulish Events for Fun and Entertainment in South County

Uesugi Farms Pumpkin Patch

Featuring a spooky corn maze, pumpkin fields, two train rides and the new Mutant Creek Haunted Hayride, Morgan Hill’s Uesugi Farms provides the whole Halloween experience. The pumpkin patch hosts live bands for country dancing, and is decorated with tons of yellow and orange marigolds. A great place to bring the whole family, the pumpkin pyramid offers photo ops for kids. Located at 14485 Monterey Rd, Morgan Hill. 3rd Annual “Unleash the Spirits at the Winery” at Pedrizzetti Winery

This year’s event will feature live “spooky” music by the band Spank, 8pm-12pm. Festivities will include a costume contest. Contest winners who have the Sexist, Funniest, Most Original and Best Couple costumes will win a bottle of wine, and the Best Overall Costume first place winner will receive a case of wine. The event also includes scary winery tours, wine tasting, and hors d ‘oeurves. Pedrizzetti Winery is located at 1645 San Pedro Ave. in Morgan Hill. Free Haunted Graveyard Display in Morgan Hill

The Haunted Graveyard on Lassen Way features a frightful display of special effects, like spooky lighting, zombies, moving tombstones, creaking gates, clawing hands and even a thunder and lightning storm. Returning to Morgan Hill for its twelfth year, the Haunted Graveyard will be open Halloween night only, from 6:30-10:00pm on Lassen Way in Morgan Hill.

8th Annul Halloween Spooktacular at the Gilroy Premium Outlets

Costumed children are invited to come trick-or-treating at the Gilroy Premium Outlets between 4pm and 6pm. Promoting a fun and safe Halloween, participating Outlets’ merchants will be giving out Halloween treats at this annual Gilroy event. The first 1,200 children who visit the Building C Information Center will receive free trick-or-treat bags, candy and glow necklaces.

12th Annual Safe Trick or Treat in Downtown Morgan Hill

This downtown Morgan Hill tradition provides a fun and safe environment for Morgan Hill’s children and families to experience Halloween. Downtown Morgan Hill between Monterey Hwy. on Main and Dunne Ave., 5pm-7pm. Free admission. For more information, contact the Morgan Hill Downtown Association at 408-779-3190.

ScreamWorks presents “Conover Mystery Ranch” and “Sinisterium”

ScreamWorks, the Bay Area’s premier dark events company, presents two scream-worthy events this Halloween: “Professor Markus Mobiu’s Sinisterium” and the “Conover Mystery Ranch,” both located at Swank Farms Great Corn Maze in Hollister.
