March 13, 2009-April 4, 2009 — You Can't Take It With You

The Pulitzer Prize-winning comedic play ‘You Can't Take It With You’ will be preformed by the South Valley Civic Theater at the Morgan Hill Community Playhouse, located at 17090 Monterey Road. March 13, 2009 — Magic Show at the Morgan Hill Library

The Morgan Hill Library children’s program will be presenting the magic and comedy of magician Tony Daniels. This family friendly, all ages show starts at 4pm, at the Morgan Hill Library, located at 660 West Main Ave.

March 14, 2009 — Guglielmo Winery’s St. Pattie's Celebration

Come out and show your green and party at Guglielmo Winery. Enjoy “Shamrock Champagne," appetizers, corned beef, cabbage, sweets and coffee while a DJ provides music and Irish jig tunes. A prize for “most spirited” will be given, so wear green. The event takes place at Guglielmo Winery, located at 1480 East Main Ave, from 5pm - 9pm. March 14, 2009 — South Valley Symphony Concert

Conductor Anthony Quartuccio and the South Valley Symphony will present Music for the Young at Heart at the Gavilan College Theater, located at 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd. in Gilroy, at 7:30pm. This family friendly concert will feature classics like Mozart’s Symphony No. 1, Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 1 and Rodgers’s “Slaughter on 10th Avenue.” Tickets can also be purchased online at the South Valley Symphony website at http://www.southvalleysymphony.org.

March 15, 2009 — St. Catherine’s Annual St. Patrick’s Dinner

St. Catherine’s Catholic Church will be holding their annual fundraising St. Patrick's Day Dinner at 4pm-8pm in the Parish Center, located at 17400 Peak Ave. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children, and will be on sale after masses. This 6th annual luncheon, which will be held at the held at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, located at 17000 Monterey St., from 11:15am-1:30am, presents the Helping Hand Award to a person in the community who works to improve peoples lives. A group of professional and amateur stand up comedians will perform at Gavilan Community College Theater, located at 5055 Santa Theresa Blvd. in Gilroy, at 7pm. Throughout March — Town Cats in Urgent Need of Cat Food

Town Cats, Morgan Hill’s only no kill cat shelter, is in desperate need of dry and canned cat and kitten food. They are asking for the donations from the Morgan Hill community. Town Cats goes through 1,000 pounds of dry food and 500 cans of wet cat food every week. Their shelter, located at 195 San Pedro Ave # B in Morgan Hill, functions as a temporary home to 200-plus felines. Town Cats also provides free cat food to low income and disadvantaged cat guardians and feral cat caretakers, and facilitates foster care and adoption of their cats.
