April 18, 2009 — Melodrama and Vaudeville Revue at the Gaslighter

Enjoy an interactive, outrageous vaudeville revue for the whole family at the newly re-opened Gaslighter Theater, located at 7430 Monterey St. in Gilroy. April 18, 2009 — Sycamore Creek Vineyards Wine Blending Camp

This second annual wine blending camp at Sycamore Creek Vineyards will focus on Mosaico. Located at 12775 Uvas Road, this fun, educational camp includes a lunch and snack. It takes place from 1-4pm and costs $30 a person. Last year, the winning blend ended up becoming Sycamore Creek’s final blend for their Bordeaux-style wine. April 19, 2009 — 49th Annual Morgan Hill Haru Matsuri

Now in its 49th year, the Annual Morgan Hill Haru Matsuri Spring Festival will take place at the Morgan Hill Buddhist Community Center, 16450 Murphy Avenue, at 11am. The San Jose Taiko Group will perform at the festival. Other entertainment includes minyo and martial arts demonstrations. The will be many booths with Asian crafts, artists, venders, and food, as well as a raffle. This free event is put on by the Morgan Hill Buddhist Community Center.

April 22, 2009 — Live Jazz at Mama Mia’s

Mama Mia’s Italian eatery will host a live jazz performance from 6pm-9pm. A newly formed jazz trio that includes pianist Mark Gaetano and bassist Jeff Breeh will perform. Breeh played bass professionally for the Pointer Sisters for four years. Mama Mia’s is located at 275 E Dunne Ave., Morgan Hill, call 408.776.8111 for more information.

April 23, 2009 — Earth Day Art and Science Fair

Morgan Hill students will present earth-friendly projects at the 6th Annual Earth Day Art and Science Fair. This year’s science project challenge was to promote the recycling, reduction or reuse of drink containers, or to prevent storm water runoff pollution. Exhibits on environmentally friendly products and services will also be featured. This free event takes place at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road, from 2-6pm. April 25, 2009 — Wildlife and all the Jazz

The Sideways Trio will perform a live jazz concert to benefit Morgan Hill’s Wildlife Education & Rehabilitation Center (W.E.R.C.) All proceeds of the event will go towards supporting the rehabilitation and education programs of W.E.R.C. The concert takes place from 5:30pm-8pm. Attendees can meet WERC’s educational animals, enjoy the concert, and socialize with the musicians afterwards. This popular California Farmers' Market Association farmers' market features specialties of the season, like dried fruit, honey, organic vegetables, Asian vegetables, farmstead cheeses, wild pacific salmon and fresh baked breads, just to name a few. It takes place at 9am every Saturday, rain or shine, at Third and Depot Streets in downtown Morgan Hill.
