Relay for Life
South County is hosting two upcoming Relay for Life events to benefit the American Cancer Society. Relay for Life is a cancer research fundraiser in which teams gather pledges and take turns walking or running around a path for 24 hours straight.
The 24-hour relays symbolize the continual fight cancer patients wage against the disease. The events will also celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer and remembers those who have died. The Morgan Hill Relay for Life will take place May 16 from 6pm-6pm at the Community Park, located at 299 W. Edmondson Ave.
The Gilroy Relay for Life will be take place June 19-20 from 6pm-6pm at the ranch side of Christmas Hill Park, located at 7049 Miller Ave. Volunteers are needed for both events, to help with registration, accounting, logistics, food, hospitality, set up and clean up.
