Special City Council meeting on city budget reductions this Wednesday
On Jan. 7, 2009, the Morgan Hill City Council will be holding a meeting to discuss the budget reduction options for the city.

The USGS reported two small earthquakes near Morgan Hill on Sunday, Jan. 4. Measuring 1.3 and 1.7, the earthquakes both had an epicenter within 6 miles of Morgan Hill. They occurred at 1:09am and 8:42am prospectively, at a depth of 5.9 and 5.2 miles.

Morgan Hill Roads Receive "Good" Rating
Morgan Hill’s roadways got a “Good” rating in a recent study by the by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission. The city got a 75 out of a possible 100 points on the Pavement Condition Index (PCI.) Other cities that got “Good” scores in 70s include Campbell, Mountain View and Sunnyvale, while San Jose got a “Fair” rating with a score of 63. The cities of Gilroy, Santa Clara and Los Altos received “Very Good” scores in the 80s. In general, Santa Clara County’s roadway pavement conditions held up pretty well, with an average road pavement score of 77.
