There was an attempted strong arm robbery at Marie Callender’s yesterday, where an 82-year-old woman was injured.
The victim was getting out of her car in the restaurant parking lot at 18599 Sutter Blvd. when an unknown male subject grabbed her purse.
When victim yelled at the suspect to let go, he began to pull harder. This caused the victim to loose her balance and fall to the ground, fracturing her right wrist.
The suspect then fled the area, leaving the purse and woman behind. The victim’s 85-year-old husband, who was in the drivers seat of the car during the incident, could not get out in time to assist.
He described the suspect as a male, 5’9” to 5’10”, 160 lbs to 175 lbs, wearing blue jeans and a dark colored shirt. The victim was driven to Saint Louise Hospital by her husband, where she was treated and later released. They are residents of Minnesota who were visiting Morgan Hill.
