• Migrant Worker Job Fair This Saturday

    The fifth annual Celebracion Del Campo migrant worker job fair will be held this Saturday at the Uesugi Farms Pumpkin Patch in Morgan Hill.

    Aiming to honor Santa Clara County farm workers, Celebracion Del Campo functions as both a job and social resource connection event. From 11am-4pm, attendees will be able to access to free health screenings, government and non-profit agencies, as well as employment development services.

    Local employers including Prudential Insurance, Enterprise Protective Services and Best Buy, will be hiring at the event for positions in security and sales.

  • Morgan Hill Night Out Against Crime

    The Morgan Hill Police are inviting the general public to celebrate America’s Night Out Against Crime on August 4 from 6-8pm at the Morgan Hill City Hall.

    The event aims to generate support for local anti-crime efforts, organize neighborhoods to take a stand to fight against crime, strengthen police and community partnerships and heighten crime and drug prevention awareness.

    There will also be free ice cream, patrol vehicles and a S.W.A.T. truck on hand for public demonstration, as well as a K-9 demo by Morgan Hill Police Officer Ray and Pax at 7pm.

  • Relays and craft show to help fight cancer

    Relay for Life

    South County is hosting two upcoming Relay for Life events to benefit the American Cancer Society. Relay for Life is a cancer research fundraiser in which teams gather pledges and take turns walking or running around a path for 24 hours straight.

    The 24-hour relays symbolize the continual fight cancer patients wage against the disease. The events will also celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer and remembers those who have died.
